PAAR - Documents Required to Process PAAR by Nigeria Customs Service

Documents required to process PAAR by Nigeria Customs Service (NCS)

    • Certificate Of Origin (CoO), where applicable

    • Product certificate

    • Shipped/ Clean on Board Bill of lading/Airways Bill/Road waybill

    • Final/commercial invoice

    • Packing list

    PAAR:

In our previous post on Step by Step Import Processes in Nigeria, we explained in detail the form M openning and approval processes. Its important to note that approved form M is required to proceed to PAAR processing and generation which is the next stage in pre-shipping documentation for imports into Nigeria.

PAAR Approval and Processes - How to Generate PAAR

Nigerian Custom Service (NCS) approves and registers e-Form M

Importer’s Bank processes Documents and transmits it to the NCS.

NCS issues the Pre- Arrival Assessment  Report (PAAR) and sends it to the Importer’s Bank.

The Bank releases the shipping documents and PAAR to the Importer.

Importer delivers shipping documents and PAAR to the clearing agent.
