TAX IS NOW 7.5%

Valuehandlers International wishes to bring to your notice our compliance to the new charge of 7.5% as VAT on every services render with effect from today 01 February, 2020. This is in accordance and total compliance to the 2019 Finance bill signed to law by both the Senate and the House of Representative as published by the presidency.

As a responsive logistics company with an upright operational repute, committed to transparency in services delivery charges, we feel the obligation to keep you informed of our compliance to this new directive.

With effect from today, 01 February, 2020, Valuehandlers International will begin to charge 7.5% as VAT on every service rendered. This will mean an additional 2.5% to the initial 5% which was the historical fraction.

However, this change will not diminish any of our attempts at providing you the best shipping experience.

Meanwhile, as a stakeholder, we solemnly encourage the Federal Government to judiciously embrace the purpose of collecting taxes. It is primarily to provide comforts to the citizens. To carry out expenditures on economic infrastructure (roads, public transportation, sanitation, legal systems, public safety, education, health-care systems), military, scientific research, culture and the arts, public works, distribution, data collection and dissemination, public insurance, and the operations of government itself. A government's ability to raise taxes is called fiscal capacity.

Just as we are obedient, diligently discharging our obligation, the government should equally be responsible and accountable for the taxes levied and collected.
